Agreement
GlintEV service agreement.
Effective July 10, 2026. This agreement applies when a user creates an account, downloads the controller, connects equipment, or uses GlintEV services.
Plain-language summary
GlintEV is a software control service for EV charging and home-energy integrations. Some features are experimental, depend on third-party APIs and local hardware, and may stop working or behave inconsistently. GlintEV is not a safety device. Users must rely on properly installed electrical equipment, breakers, EVSE protections, vehicle protections, batteries, inverters, and manufacturer safety systems.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, installing a controller, connecting a vehicle, charger, inverter, battery, meter, or provider account, or using GlintEV, you agree to this service agreement and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service description
GlintEV provides software, dashboards, APIs, and local controller tools that may read energy and charging data, calculate charging targets, and request charging changes from supported vehicles, chargers, EVSEs, inverters, batteries, meters, or provider platforms.
The service may support solar-aware control, fixed-amp control, schedule control, charger-targeted control, vehicle API control, OCPP command queues, telemetry history, and dashboard configuration. Feature availability depends on the user’s plan, hardware, network, software version, provider account, and third-party API access.
3. Experimental features and third-party dependencies
Some GlintEV integrations and control features are experimental, early-access, or based on undocumented or changing third-party behavior. They may fail, be delayed, be unavailable, return incorrect data, reject commands, require re-authentication, or stop working without notice.
GlintEV may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features, integrations, APIs, downloads, or services at any time, including where third-party access changes or a control path appears unreliable or unsafe.
4. User responsibilities
You are responsible for installing, configuring, and operating GlintEV only with equipment you own or are authorized to control. You must follow all manufacturer instructions, electrical codes, utility requirements, building rules, lease rules, and safety guidance that apply to your site.
You are responsible for selecting safe charge limits, maintaining a safe electrical installation, protecting account credentials, supervising initial tests, reviewing dashboard events, keeping the controller device online and secure, and stopping GlintEV if charging behavior does not look correct.
5. Not a safety system
GlintEV is not an electrical protection system, breaker, load center, EVSE safety mechanism, battery-management system, fire-safety system, demand-response guarantee, or substitute for professional electrical design. GlintEV sends software requests and records results; the final safety limits must come from properly installed hardware and manufacturer safety systems.
6. No guarantees
GlintEV does not guarantee solar savings, grid savings, charge completion, uptime, command acceptance, third-party API availability, vehicle availability, charger compatibility, battery health outcomes, data accuracy, or uninterrupted service. Charging may continue, stop, fail to start, or run at a different rate than expected because of hardware, vehicle, EVSE, utility, network, provider, or configuration behavior.
7. Fees and plans
Plan prices, device limits, update periods, and supported features are listed on the pricing page or in written order terms. Unless separate written terms say otherwise, purchases cover access to GlintEV software and services only. Hardware, installation, electrical work, internet service, utility charges, third-party provider charges, and manufacturer subscriptions are not included.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GlintEV and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and suppliers are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss or damage related to equipment, property, vehicles, batteries, chargers, electrical systems, solar systems, missed charging, energy costs, utility charges, lost savings, lost data, service interruption, third-party outages, personal injury, or business losses arising from or related to the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any total liability for claims related to GlintEV is limited to the amount paid by the user for GlintEV services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold GlintEV harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your configuration, equipment, site, credentials, misuse of the service, violation of this agreement, or violation of law or third-party rights.
10. Privacy
Use of GlintEV also depends on the collection and processing described in the privacy policy, including account data, site configuration, controller events, telemetry, credentials, and provider tokens where required for connected services.
11. Termination
You may stop using GlintEV by disabling the controller, removing devices, revoking provider access, or requesting account deletion. GlintEV may suspend or terminate access where needed to protect users, hardware, providers, the service, or legal compliance.
12. Governing law
Unless separate written terms say otherwise, this agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
